An entertaining musical drama about Murad, a young boy from Dharavi and his dream to become a rapper against all odds. Story is somehow similar to Secret Superstar and bit lengthy. But its the performances and brilliant direction which makes it worth a watch. Ranveer Singh’s underplay act as young Murad is undoubtedly one of his finest character so far. Alia as usual shines well even though the screen space is less. Newcomer Sidhant Chaturvedi as MC Sher is surprisingly good.. And last but not the least.. Murad’s poems by Javed Akhtar👌👌 Gully boy is a fine balanced musical drama with great performances..
